about AYAORA, Seed to Body Connections:

Hola, I’m Aya Maria. A mother, an autonomous midwife, and a student to the elements, the plants and the ancestral arts.

AYAORA was born in 2015 as I learned to weave the pieces of my broken heart into something new. "Hay Ahora" – there is now – was the pulsating mantra that kept me present amidst my grief, coincidentally mirroring the physical silhouette of the mountain range where I was born △△. Gradually, it became the frequency through which I expressed ancestral dance and shared oral stories via the "Truth is to Breath" podcast. This frequency grounded me as I embraced my calling as a midwife. Most recently, it has become our family's Cannabis Apothecary, delivering seed-to-body herbal medicine to our local and global community.

Seed to Body embodies the organic lesson derived from AYAORA's various expressions. We nurture the seed of our origin, which enhances the well-being of our bodies. We care for the seeds of our food and our plant kin, fostering our connection to water, soil, minerals, and all that sustains vibrant life. We nurture the seed of our visions, manifesting beauty in this time-space reality and elevating our collective consciousness, engaging our senses fully. Con-sentidos.

the offering here is truth

The raw truth about what it took to get here—a place where I get to wake up to the responsibility of tending to the dreams I’ve made reality.

The truth about what it means to be an exalted, empowered sexual being, the truth about what it means to come into coherence, and purge so love may surge.

The truth about birth and what reclaiming our instinctual, primal, mammalian senses means.

The truth about relationships, and love, and matrimonio-matrimony, the commitment to original matriz (womb), the organic matrix.

The truth about mothering-fathering, infants, toddlers, and growing children. The truth about remembering to mother and father ourselves.

The truth about the times we’re living in, the compounded effects of our hurts, and the way we perpetuate hurt, and they way we can be with ourselves as we learn to transform the hurt.

The truth about death, the ultimate completion, the jewel of renewal. The truth about how we have to remember to grieve so we can continue living.

My point of truth, in all the ways it may inspire you or be in discord with your own sense of truth, but the truth that we can still be in relation through our differences, if we so choose.

i’m just ready for a new way, a deeper breath, a refresh

I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been engulfed in the frequency of branding and commodifying myself & my work to sustain. Sustain economically, sustain followers, sustain engagement…The algorithmic beast subtly (or maybe not even so subtly) conditions us to package ourselves in a way that’s sellable, and easily accessible, and really, I’m tired. And, ready for the new ancestral way of the internet realms. An internet realm that reflects the cycles in their natural pace and brings us back into process, and tenderness and intimacy.

so what you’ll find here is a medley,

Of voice and writing and spaces of connection.

I want to share about all the things that have breathed life into my being and supported me to come into my knowing, my feeling, my loving, my thriving.

I won’t promise anything other than consistency, a steady flow of enlivening circulation in-formation.

Seed to Body community (paid subscribers)

We’ll go deeper, expand further. I’ll have classes for you, special rates on plant medicine, virtual and in person immersions, & 1:1 work. The prayer is to respond to you, to co-create with you, to attune to what you see I may be able to support you with and grow together in that way.
